Welcome to your Community Place on the Internet! Since 1993, our church have been the home of Christian believers from all over the world.


Our Mission:

Worshiping our Lord, Jesus Christ is the heart of our Church, the center of our life, our first school of spirituality, and the source from which our power flows. We strive for active participation by all in the celebration of the liturgy.

 

HISTORY

  • 1993: Mission of Mar Abraham established. Fr. Michael J. Bazzi, who traveled between Scottsdale and San Diego, served as priest.

  • 1994: Fr. Kamal Bidawid served the mission.

  • 1994: Church building purchased; there were 100 Chaldean families at the time.

  • 1995: Fr. Noel Gorgis assigned as the parish’s first pastor.

  • June 2, 1995: Mar Abraham Mission was elevated to the status of parish.

  • Nov. 11, 2001: Fr. Paulos Ghozairan appointed pastor.

  • April 19, 2009: Msgr. Felix Shabi was appointed as Pastor of Holy Family Parish.

  • Sept. 05, 2009: a second Chaldean Mission was established in Tucson, Arizona by Bishop Sarhas Y. Jammo.

  • Dec. 25, 2009: the Chaldean Church of Arizona was elevated to the rank of Episcopal Vicariate; Msgr. Felix Shabi was appointed as the first “Episcopal Vicar” for Arizona.

  • Sept. 12, 2010: Msgr. Felix Shabi was appointed as Pastor to both churches of Arizona (Mar Abraham Chaldean and Holy Family).

  • Aug 14, 2010: Fr. Reemon Sarkees was sent from San Diego to serve in Arizona assisting Msgr. Shabi in all centers.

  • July 10, 2011: The first Chaldean Mass will be celebrated in the southeastern part of the Valley, in the city of Gilbert, where up to 150 Chaldean families live.
