حفلة عيد رأس السنة 2012 في أريزونا
احتفل ابناء كنيستنا الكلدانية في اريزونا بعيد رأس السنة بحضور بلغ ما يقارب 700 شخص.
رعى الحفل الجمعيات الكنسية العاملة في أريزونا وفرق الكنيسة، بالتنسيق مع “لا ميراج كروب” وهذه الفرق هي:
- الجمعية الكلدانية الامريكية – اريزونا
- جمعية سيدات النعمة
- جمعية فرسان كولومبوس
- اخوية الشباب
حضر جانب من الحفل الخوراسقف فيليكس الشابي الوكيل الاسقفي في اريزونا، اذ قام بتلاوة الصلاة واعطاء البركة للحاضرين بمناسبة السنة الجديدة 2012 وتمنى للجميع عاما موفقا ومباركا مليئا من النعم والخيرات.
تضمن الحفل ايضا سحبة اليانصيب ل 14 جائزة.

On the morning of Saturday Nov. 26, 2011 our catechism children at Holy Family Catholic Mission in Phoenix celebrated a Thanksgiving feast along with their companion immigrants and newly arrived Chaldeans to the Valley. Over 90 children were gathered on that morning to attend the Thanksgiving celebration program that included:
1- a short starting prayer of “Our Father and Hail Mary,” after which the children went inside the church and watched the movie “the Juggler of Notre Dame” for about 45 minutes about Christmas and the gift of giving. The story of the movie reminds each person to be useful and positive in the community, church and society and to offer others whatever God had given us for free.
2- Break time for 30 min during which the children participated in different sports activities.
3- Around midday the children were gathered together at the church hall to sing each with their own class a song or prayer.
4- In the end the children were ready to start their lunch with Corbishop Felix and Fr. Reemon and the teachers and church volunteers. They thanked the Lord for His graces and mercies toward His people.

أطفال إرسالية العائلة المقدسة في أريزونا يحتفلون بعيد الشكر
في صباح السبت 26نوفمبر 2011 احتفل اطفال ارسالية العائلة المقدسة للكلدان الكاثوليك بعيد الشكر الذي يقع في الخميس الاخير من شهر نوفمبر. وقد اعد للاطفال برنامجا خاصا بهذه المناسبة تضمن الفقرات التالية:اولا: عرض فيلم قصير عن معنى عيد الميلاد بمناسبة زمن (البشارة – السوبارا) بعنوان “ذا جكلر اوف نوتردام” استمر زهاء 45 دقيقة داخل الكنيسة. قبل بداية الفلم اعطى الخوراسقف فيليكس الشابي نبذة عنه وحث الاطفال على التفكير بالميلاد كفرصة ليس فقط للاخذ بل للعطاء الروحي.ثانيا: خرج الاولاد الى ساحة كنيسة للعب مع بعض وقضاء فترة الاستراحة لمدة نصف ساعة.ثالثا: جمع الخوراسقف فيليكس الشابي الاطفال في قاعة واحدة ثم طلب من كل صف تقديم فقرة صلاة او ترتيل مما تعلموه من المدرسة والكنيسة.رابعا: شارك الجميع بوجبة غداء مقدمة من قبل الكنيسة وبمساهمة بعض المتبرعين الكرام بمناسبة عيد الشكر، وهو العيد الذي فيه يشكر الناس اللـه على كل انعاماته وخيراته لهم طوال السنة.وقد حضر الاب ريمون سركيس الاحتفالية ايضا وشارك في الغداء المشترك. وقد بلغ عدد الاطفال حوالي ال90 طفلا وطفلة، هذه بعض من صور الاحتفالية.

On thanksgiving weekend, Saturday Nov. 26, 2011 Mar Abraham Chaldean Church received Michael John Poirier for the first time on its premises during the Saturday Liturgy. After the Holy Mass Corbishop Felix Shabi welcomed Michael and introduce him to the faithful. For one hour Michael stated to sing and talk about his faith journey and how he tried always to be positive while debating or di with other non catholic people or spiritual leaders.
Michael showed lot of admire and respect to the faith of our Chaldean catholic church and the brave faith that our people showed through history, and asked the Chaldean believers to be proud of their original faith and to inspire the western believers in their spiritual life.
After his one-hour speech, people met Michael personally and talked to him outside the church while sharing some coffee and desserts.
مايكل بواريير يزور خورنة مار اوراها الكلدانية
زار الموسيقار مايكل بواريير خورنة مار اوراها الكلدانية وحضر قداس السبت 26 نوفمبر. بعد القداس قدم الخوراسقف فيليكس الشابي الموسيقار مايكل للمؤمنين بحضور الاب الفاضل ريمون سركيس، حيث شارك بامسية تراتيل وتعليقات روحية لمدة ساعة واحدة تكلم فيها عن خبرته في الحياة المسيحية وبحثه عن الايمان الكاثوليكي وسط تصادم الحضارات العلمانية وتناقضاتها مع الايمان المسيحي.
استمتع المؤمنون بكلمات مايكل المشجعة والتي حث فيها المؤمنون الكاثوليك والكلدان الشرقيين خاصة على الافتخار بتراث كنيستهم المشجع والمشرف والذي يعطي دفعة ايمانية وروحية حتى للمسيحيين الغربيين الذين باتوا اليوم يبحثون عن معنى اعمق لعيش ايمانهم المسيحي.
بعد ذلك توجه الحاضرون الى باحة الكنيسة لتناول القهوة وبعض الحلويات، وهذه بعض من صور الزيارة.

احتفالات الوكالة الاسقفية الكلدانية في أريزونا بعيد الصليب
احتفلت كنيسة مار اوراها الكلدانية بعيد الصليب في 13 ايلول مساء. بدأ القداس الالهي الساعة 6:30 عصرا، اقامه الخوراسقف فيليكس الشابي الوكيل الاسقفي في أريزونا. وبعد القداس قام بمباركة الصليب الجديد لكنيسة مار اوراها. بعدها توجه الاباء الكهنة والشمامسة الاعزاء الى ساحة الكنيسة، بعد ان امطرت السماء في بداية القداس، واوقدوا شعلة النار، ثم اوقدوا الشموع وقاموا بتلاوة صلاة الوردية المقدسة وحمل الصليب الخشبي الكبير، ثم اختتم الزياح بتقبيل الصليب ونوال بركته المقدسة.
اما في يوم عيد الصليب 14 ايلول، فقد اقيم الاحتفال بالعيد في ارسالية العائلة المقدسة للكلدان والاثوريين الكاثوليك. بدأ القداس الساعة 6:30 عصرا، اقامه الاب ريمون سركيس، ثم تلاه زياح خارج الكنيسة مع ايقاد شعلة النار والشموع وصلاة الوردية، وحمل الصليب الكبير. ثم قام المؤمنون بتقبيل الصليب واخذ البركة المقدسة.

Chaldean Church in Arizona celebrates the Feast of the Cross
On the occasion of the Feast of the Cross, the Chaldean Vicariate of Arizona had two different celebrations. First on Sep 13, at Mar Abraham Chaldean Catholic Church in Scottsdale, the people gathered at 6:30pm despite the rain at the beginning of the Mass. Corbishop Msgr. Felix celebrated the Holy liturgy, and afterwards he blessed the new church cross with holy water. After that the crowd went out to the parking lot in procession. They lit the symbolic and historical fire of discovering the cross, and they had their candles despite the windy evening. They then carried the wooden cross and prayed the Holy Rosary. At the end of the procession people kissed the cross and had the blessing of the feast.
The second celebration took place on the day of the feast, Sept. 14, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church –the Holy Family Chaldean and Assyrian Mission- at 6:30 p.m. Fr. Reemon Sarkees celebrated the Holy Liturgy. After the Mass, the procession started at the church parking lot with the rosary and the candles and carrying the wooden cross. In the end people received the blessing of the feast. Confessions were available during the celebrations as well.

احتفلت كنيسة مار اوراها الكلدانية مساء الخميس 23 حزيران 2011 بقداس عيد الجسد، سبقته ساعة سجود وبركتي قربان قبل وبعد القداس. احتفل بالقداس حضرة الخوراسقف فيليكس الشابي، في حين جلس الاب ريمون سركيس للاعترافات اثناء القداس. هذا وقد حضر عدد من المؤمنين مراسيم الاحتفال وهذه بعض من صور القدس والزياح.

After years of interruption, the Knights of Columbus made the move to resume activity at Mar Abraham Chaldean Catholic Church and reactivate the council. Fifteen members joined the Knights, including two priests, Msgr. Felix Shabi and Fr. Reemon Sarkees, along with 13 men (some of them are already third degree members). They all went through the first degree ceremony at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church (Shea & 124th St., Scottsdale).
Along with these 15 members, another seven candidates missed the ceremony, and that is an invitation for them and many other young men to join the council in an upcoming opportunity. In the next month or two, they can join the rest of the members and work hard as one team for the sole benefit of the Church.
We thank Mr. Ron Cacini –district Deputy- who worked hard to restore the council at Mar Abraham Parish, and along with all challenges therein, made the breakthrough to bring the council to life again.

The Sunday English Mass on June 19 was the last time for Tom Gabriel to serve the Mass before leaving for Texas for a new job. Tom served our church for many years and received the blessing of our Bishop last December to become a lector in the church and to officially officially the Chaldean English language Mass.
After the Holy Liturgy, Msgr. Felix thanked Tom for his service and encouraged more youths to approach and serve likewise with a dedicated spirit and obedience. He also presented Tom with a special gift from the church to remind him of his spiritual ties with the mother church.
Although every departure is hard, this one is a happy one since Tom is finding better job and study opportunities in Texas. Also, his absence encouraged other youths to step up and start serving the Mass perfectly as if they were doing it for years!
Thank you, Tom. We wish you all the best in your new life plans, and wish all young people to be ready to serve their mother church just as Tom served.
